Why You Need to Take Care of Your Hedge Trimmer Blades After Every Use
July 22, 2019
Hi guys, Blaine Dennison here, and today I want to talk about the importance of hedge trimmer blade maintenance, and why you should be taking care of them after every use.
This is a simple tip, and it’s good for either gas or electric trimmers, but it’s a key one nonetheless.
While I’m using the ECHO PAS-2620 articulated hedge trimmer for this video, this maintenance tip is true for any manufacturer. Let’s face it, we use these tools for our livelihoods, so we should give them the respect they deserve.
-
Run the trimmers to open the blades up, and make sure you clean off any remaining dirt
-
Take the opportunity to check the blades for damage
-
You can use any relevant cleaner, but using a dedicated lube will give you better results
-
Run the trimmer again to run the lube into the blades
I hope this video helps, guys, and keep those tools ready for the next job!
