"Hey everyone, it's Phil from Vision Landscape. In this spontaneous discussion, I'll be sharing my thoughts on the ECHO CS-7310 and comparing it to the Husqvarna 572 XP, a popular saw many of you may recognize.
ECHO sent us the saw, and after running it side by side with the Husqvarna, here are our honest findings. James, Cameron, and I have used it for several removals, and I'm planning to use it tomorrow for a big spruce. We've also done some side-by-side racing comparisons.
Both saws are in the 70cc range, with the ECHO having a slight edge at 735 CCs compared to the Husqvarna's 71 CCs. Both are stock, fully orange, and weigh almost the same. The off/on switch on the ECHO feels a bit inconvenient, and the choke seems a bit cheap.
The ECHO is loud and powerful, sounding like a ported saw. It starts easily and is responsive, though I feel it needs more breaking in. While it may not be as dialed in as our well-used Husqvarna, it holds its own.
I touch on handle differences, emphasizing the choice between a full wrap handle for tree work and a basic handle for ground use. I discuss the saw's performance, weight, and application for ground work, emphasizing safety and PPE.
Dealer support becomes a key factor in the decision-making process. I stress the importance of proximity, service, and part availability. Both saws are priced similarly, around $1,300 to $1,400 Canadian, and I recommend checking for seasonal deals.
In conclusion, I express excitement about introducing a new saw into our lineup and share some upcoming videos showing racing comparisons between the two. The ECHO CS-7310 has pleasantly surprised us, and we're grateful to have it in our fleet.
Thanks for watching, and until next time, peace out."
