Dr. Sam Steel serves as the Safety Adviser for the National Association of Landscape Professionals. He has spent over 40 years of his career developing, delivering, and evaluating agricultural industry safety and health programs. His doctoral research at Penn State included working with Pennsylvania’s commercial mushroom industry on safety training for Latino employees. In addition, he organized statewide safety training for the new generation of beginning farmers in Pennsylvania.
