How to let your customers know about the new costs of your project
Another day, another Pro Tip for you lawn care business owners!
Today my team and I were at a property that we’ve been doing all sorts of landscaping and lawn care for.
Now, this property is a brand-new home, so the owners have been gradually adding things to their backyard. For example, today we noticed that they had put down a giant inflatable pool, right in the middle of the yard. Other times we’ve noticed new outdoor furniture and new plants pop up in between work days.
What am I getting at here? These homeowners may not realize that these new obstacles will actually increase the amount of time it takes for us to work on their lawn (after all, we don’t want to puncture that new pool!). That means it will also increase the cost of the project overall.
Watch this video to see what I mean, and to learn how I plan to have this conversation with my customers. It’s never easy, but it has to be done!
